Savannah and Jackson’s story began during their freshman year at Ole Miss, Hotty Toddy! On the very first day of Chemistry 105, Savannah couldn’t help but notice a tall, handsome guy walk into class… a little late, so actually everyone noticed him. A few weeks later, while Savannah and her friends were soaking up a sunny Sunday afternoon at a bar in Oxford, she spotted the same cute guy from chemistry. She quickly nudged her best friend, Skylar, and whispered that her mystery classmate had just walked in. Skylar took one look and grinned from ear to ear.

“That’s Jackson Vanderslice! I know him!” Skylar said, and before Savannah knew it, she was being whisked over to the bar for an introduction. Jackson greeted her with, “Hey, you’re in my chemistry class, right? Have you done the homework that’s due tomorrow?” Savannah had actually finished it, but just smiled and replied, “No, have you?”

Their first date? An impromptu study session that night at the JD Williams Library. And from there, the rest is history.
